The Hamden Fish and Game Protective Association Inc. is a traditional hunting,
fishing and shooting sports club. Located on Willow Street in the
Mount Carmel Section of Hamden, CT, the club
sits on over 80 acres of woodlands near Sleeping Giant Mountain.
The grounds consist of a clubhouse, a picnic grove and pavilion, an archery range, Ryan’s Pond which is regularly stocked with pan size trout, four skeet and trap fields – one of which also contains a sporting clays/5-stand, setup and a multipoint 100 yard pistol and rifle range.
Membership is open to anyone interested in shooting, fishing and the outdoors. Families are encouraged to join and enjoy the club together.
The club is “managed” by elected officers and directors, chairs are appointed for a multiplicity of events and undertakings.
The club’s facilities are normally open
on weekends and on Wednesdays, year-round.
